(in another part of town Jay is going thru a wendy's drive thru when someone comes from the side and guns him down, puting 20 plus shots thru his car)

(now were back to Richie & Janets house and there still in the bedroom messin around a little bit and outside theres a man looking thru there windows they cant see and he has a machine gun in his hand and he is aiming it at the window. The man starts to let off on the window and just as he does luckily Richie looks to the window and rolls himself and Janet off the bed.......the man puts about 60 shots in the room thru the window before finally leaving)

Richie-are u ok, ur not hit are u? are u hit?

Janet-no i'm not hit "ba bu" but who was that?
Richie-i dont know, i think he is gone now i am gonna try getting to the phone, stay here!

(Richie tries to crawl over to the phone but the man shoots thru the window somemore............Richie puts his head down and tucks it till police begin to come up.........the man gives up to police after a small stand off and Richie and Janet come downstairs and are speaking with the police)

Richie-what are u planing to do with him

Police Officer-well take him down to the station and file this and charge him with attempted murder and possession of a deadly weapon with no permit for it!

Richie-well i am not pressing charges so its not attemped murder.

Janet-what he tried to kill us Richie.

Richie-shut up Janet, just let me talk to the officer.

Janet-but Richie!

Richie-be quiet

(the cop interupts)

Police Officer-if she wants to persue this matter u would be commiting a crime to stop her! now miss, if u deside to point this guy in a line up then take my card and give me a call

Janet-u caught him in the act so why would u need me

Police Officer-well we only saw him with the gun, it would build a stronger case with ur testimony and identification of the man

Janet-ok thank u officer.

Richie-janet!! go in the house and we will talk in a minute.

(she goes into the house)

Richie-now stop trying to get her to say she sall something she didnt. we saw nothing and its not changing.

Police Officer-well once again thats her deason. u sir have a good night and dont go to far because we will be in touch.

(Richie goes into the house were Janet is sitting down on the coach and sits next to her)

Richie-what the fuck were u thinking?

Janet-that man tried to kill me and u for no damn reason and u just want to let his ass back on the street. do u know that man because i want to be with u but if putting my life on the line night after night is the only way then i cant handle it Richie, i just cant

Richie-Janet if u put a man like that behind bars then u become a bigger target because then ur a snitch and everyone would be on out ass then. i dont know his name or who he is or what he wants but i'm gonna find out and i promise this is the last time u will be in harms way.

Janet-u swear u dont know him or why he was here?

Richie-i swear to u baby that i dont know who he is!

(Janet lays on Richie's shoulder and begins to break down and cry alot as he holds her. just as she is starting to calm down the phone rings and it shakes her......Richie picks up the phone)

Richie-hello

Michelle Linch-Richie its Jay.(she says crying)

Richie-whats wrong? calm down

Michelle Linch-its bad, its really bad, just come over hear please, i need to talk to u!

Richie-ok ok i'll be right there, just hold on!

Michelle Linch-hurry please!!!.

(Richie hangs the phone up)

Janet-who was that?

Richie-it was Michelle, Jay's wife, it sounds like something is wrong, i have to get over there and see whats going on.

Janet-cant u call someone to handle this, i mean come on we were almost killed and now ur leaving me!

Richie-Jay is one of my best friends, if anything is wrong with him or his wife i got to see whats wrong. plus that guy is in jail and wont be able to make bail at this time, u have nothing to worrie about!

Janet-call me when u get there

Richie-ok! i'll see u soon baby

(Richie leaves in his car to Jay's house and when he gets there he knocks on the door)
